The EPL is here with us and though its too early to make a call as to who will win the league we can make educated guesses as to who will be there or there about and as usual it will be the usual big 4/5/6 we all know, thats not about to change. However change always throws a curve ball even to the best of us and its easy why Man U fans are jittery/nervous as how the season will be. I know for sure Man U will not win the league and this is not judging by their recent performances but purely through the man that sits in their dug out. I will paraphrase what Jose said after the recent draw against Man U " At 70 min i see we cant win the game and i dont want to loose, so i bring in a defensive midfielder" this was in answering the question why he dint play Mata. However thats what a title winning manager gives you, the teremity to read the game and analyse as it unfolds. However fast forward March/April and we are what ferguson coined as "squeeky bum time" then what kind of decisons will Moyes make, how will he play champions league quarterfinals away knowing he has a chelsea at home coming Sunday. We all know he has never been in this situation and this is where titles are lost and won. The players are the same but what goes into preparation is what is different, otherwise Chelsea would have continued winning the EPL after Mourinho left but we found out it never really is easy to replicate a winning formula. The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

@Ric dees, karibu..it's been a while. From your analysis, who do you think is going to lift the EPL 2013/2014? Chelsea?

A damning opinion article on football 356 http://www.football365.c...oo-Early-To-Judge-Moyes
I'm not sure what to make of the article...I'll give Moyes time like Fergie asked but I'm afraid for him he will never get as much time as Fergie did. Utd hadn't won for 20 years before Fergie came and it took him all of another 6 years to get the EPL. Man Utd right now is TOO BIG to go for 3 seasons without a trophy,..I think that's the longest we went without the EPL (not even a trophy) with Fergie BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

@Ric Dees, good analysis. I remember reading from one of the UK football websites that RVP hasn't yet been convinced by Moyes's methods in training and preparing them for games. If true, this could spell disaster for the season ahead.

For a start, I think you should first focus on your team, even with Mourinho back, their two last EPL games have been far from convincing. As for the highlighted part, . Check these quotes: Quote:Sure Chelsea will batter and bully a few teams with some sparkling football and bags of goals on several occasions as the season goes on, and those games will make the stats look good. But it’s hard to believe Mourinho couldn’t use his experience and knowledge to field a team to really go for it at United. Was he scared of something? Or didn’t he trust his players? Against Chelsea, Moyes went for it, playing both Rooney and van Persie. It didn’t quite happen for United but they were the side more likely to get the win. Quote:All in all, it was a disappointing evening for which Chelsea were mostly to blame. The false nine can be an exhilarating tactic — after all, Barcelona and Arsenal’s Invincibles are among those who have played it. Last night, however, it served merely to stifle. Someone else also mentioned that Chelsea were clueless going forward in that game. You do remember the many long balls by Ramires upfront to no one in particular. So as much as we have a new manager and people have already written us off, last season the old geezer got the same number of points as Moyes from similar fixtures against Swansea, Chelsea and Liverpool. @Nonstopping this - sure its been awhile, my opinion it will be a 3 way battle Chelsea/City, United/Tottenham and Arsenal/liverpool. @Justblazin, thank you for quoting the ever objective English press and to add to that Moyes will give a good account of himself in the champions league as they are all touting. We were away to the champions and came back with a point. I'd bite your hand off if we were given that at the beginning of the season. A point away to the champions is brilliant the onus is on Man U is to better or eqaul that - ofcourse then the stakes will be much higher. We played shit yet you could not win at your home ground what the f*** you talking about! Am sure you watched the game with Bayern, (Champions of Europe) against 9 men - it will take a huge effort for the big teams to win at chelsea. The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

Manutd playing like Everton, Everton playing like Wigan, Arsenal best midfield with average strikers, Mancity shaky defence and error prone Hart, looks like its Chelsea all the way! Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne (James Russell Rowell)

Being positive and adventurous and taking risks—that was our style. We were there to win the game. Our supporters understood that, and they got behind it. It was a wonderful feeling, you know, to see us go for it in those last 15 minutes. I hope they/they will understand Moyes. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Man U struggling against a 10 CP. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
