Hi's. Am looking for a play school for my kid, soon to turn 3. Please note PLAY-SCHOOL. I would like a place where the kid plays/sings then comes home i.e without academic teaching. Preferably along ngong road.
The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.

my 2 pennies worth advise, take your child to the nearest school to where you live - as for the academic part, my searching did not yield any results - in most schools the kid is always introduced to some form of academics, be it coloring or just fooling around with a crayon or pencil.

most of the institutions that offer the play group also have the upper levels and thus the kids when interacting will always see other kids with pencils or markers and they will also want the same. I see no harm in that, especially considering class 1 entrance exams have turned into mini KCPE,s and KCSE's and your kid needs to be properly drilled to pass one.

Ati class 1 entrance exams? Since when? Which genius came up with this idea? I hope Kenya is not following the US education system where you can only get good public schools if you live in an upscale area.

those class one entrance exams are serious, especially for the decent schools, they are usually booked in advance and if you take your kids to those schools and they flunk the entrance test, all the best trying to explain to them why they can't join that school.

Are these private schools you are talking about or regular Kenyan schools?
