Is there anyone among SKs with an experience in acting as a guarantor for a bank loan? i signed for this friend of mine but now i am feeling very unsafe coz i am now doubting his willingnwess to repay.

You can always cancel the guarantorship.......and maybe you have to do it fast before your friend starts defaulting.

how do you cancel the guarantorship? do i go to the bank and request them to cancel the agreement

I think you can only cancel if the loan has not been disbursed!

Can be done if you ask your friend to avail a replacement even after the loan has been granted...........you need some reasons to give your friend though,but since it's about you and your money,just be forthright..........or tell him/her you are going away for a loooooooong time.

I guaranteed a collegue and she stopped repaying when the loan was 96k,ontop of that she had left our place of work for greener pastures. Man am telling you last week but one the bank called me. my salo 20k had gone in they took,i approached them to put it in writing. Harmed with the email from the bank i went to her and threatened to go to her bosses,she had to pay me my 20k. am now waiting her to pay me disturbance allownce of 20k. imagine she earns 300k and me 20k. man you have to know how to push your friends.
