I visited their Nrb branch on Friday.
Their shares are still on sale on sale at sh.1o

They are partitioning a new branch Cardinal Otunga building-next to Holy Family

This counter has an open share register. It can keep selling new shares at 10 to eternity ... no capital gains ... enjoy the dividends though

Conversion from Sacco to bank is no easy task.Banks are just straight money making machines....Saccos on the other hand are "member" organizations where delegates dictate what will be done.
A jump from Sacco-Bank would almost mean losing your current customers to gain new ones.

Another incentive to attract more people or is it raise more money:
They will now give you 5% more shares if you buy more than 4000/= worth of shares.

Better than an umbrella :)

Does this mean that new share-holders benefit more than older share holders? Do old share-holders get to enjoy a bonus too?

I asked about this and they told me that its a promotion ran by branches at given times. If you an old member buy then, you benefit.

They also told me the plan to be listed by 2018, right now expansion is key

Gatoho you can make one cry.yes I will what now, you haven't answered.

Say I bought 5,000 worth of shares when they launched as UNAITAS and I decide/d to buy 4,000 worth more during the promotion, what will my 5% be?

a). 5% of 5,000? = 250 more shares
b). 5% of 4,000? = 200 more shares
c). 5% of 9,000? = 450 more shares?

hiyo tu.

I thought it clearly says 5% of what you buy. Was only trying to help not to make you cry, though i think your tears are too near.
