@ Impunity.......We desperately need a quality striker and Suarez is the perfect fit, if thats the only star-studded player we'll get then it will be good enough. There are so many players available in those other positions but few World class strikers.

So far @Wenger has not signed any serious star and we still hope for an improvement next season?
Sad Sad Sad
.

Praying it happens, IMHO Suarez is the closest the Gunners will come to replacing Henry as an assured goal-getter. Its impressive that Arsene is keen on spending 40m+ on one player, lets wait and see. In the meantime, prepare for disaster should this not happen.

Orgasmic wish-list....we get Cesc on 3rd ask, Rooney stays and CR7 returns home...watu wanaweza tetemeka...if only wishes were horses

Real Madrid received £32million from Napoli for a benchwarmer (Higuain), how much do you they'll demand for their top player CR7 and do you think Man Utd can affrod to spend more than £80m on one player. Anyway that report has not been confirmed by any of the reliable websites, Perez has already declared CR7 will "retire" at the club and i believe Ancelloti is not about to release his best player......i would think they'd rather miss out on Bale than lose CR7.

As for Cesc, well the new Barca coach rejected the 3rd bid even before it was made, Rooney na yeye amesema his future at Manchester United will be based on what kind of reception he receives in the next two matches he features in. IMO i think Rooney will stay but the other two won't be at OT next season, Moyes should start by signing easy targets such as Fellaini or Baines.

Actually Martino has now said Cesc has to decide whether he wants to stay at Barca

http://espnfc.com/news/s...decision-future?cc=3888

Guess we'll have to wait and see...

As expected Cesc has declared he won't be leaving Barca any time soon and claims he's never given any indication that he wants to leave. Man Utd can now focus on realistic targets kama Fellaini and Baines.

More positive news for Arsenal fans after last night's impressive win, its being reported that the club is working on deals to sign Real Madrid pair Benzema and Di Maria from Real Madrid. Wenger is also chasing a goalkeeper and a defensive player. I'm not quite sure about the Argentine but It is understood that Arsenal have been in touch with Madrid over the past 48 hours and are encouraged that a deal for Benzema could be feasible. RM have already sold Higuain but perhaps they want to develop Álvaro Morata into a more senior starting role or push Cristiano Ronaldo further forward in a more central position when Bale arrives.

This is what Wenger had to say on transfers after yesterday's game, its usually hard to believe what he says but just hope this time he's serious.

"The transfer market starts for me now and a lot of activity will happen between now and Sept 2. It is like a poker game. People hold their cards as long as possible. In the end, they go for decisions." Wenger

The Gunners are prepared to pay £40m for 25-year-old France striker Benzema after missing out on Gonzalo Higuain and Liverpool's Luis Suarez.

Transfer deadline is finally here, Arsenal have not yet spent anything on transfers but after yesterday's game Wenger indicated that the club will be busy before the 11pm deadline. Reports indicate that Italian Keeper Emiliano Viviano is already in London for a medical with Arsenal but the biggest story today has to be Arsenal's bid for Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil. Reports across Europe indicate that the gunners are already in advanced talks with Real to sign the player with a bid of £40m on the table. Perhaps this is the surprise signing Wenger mentioned after yesterday's game. ION Arsenal are also considering a bid for Demba Ba.
