They are the BEST... they lost in the lottery (penalties)... Can't compare with gooners... the ''next season,next season'' singers...

MAN UTD are champs.. they beat them now and then including thrashing one Chelsea 3-0!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

if the incompetent and the reckless compete,the result is a disaster.. MN

I have been a Man Utd fan for thirty years,even when they won nothing and those were many years.
I can tell you that this is one defeat I am not feeling bad about,SAF was caught between a rock and a hard place and he fielded a second string team,only Vidic and Ferdinand are regulars.

While that is not an excuse,I say it was going to be a tough ask to win the treble again,it is so much more competitive these days,so good luck to Chelsea and Everton.

@albertores........and the regulars missed their spot kicks!!

@ Kingfisher,I have no doubt you have gone crazy when Stevie G or Frank Lampard or any other guy you think should not miss a spot kick,does.

the point here is,this game should have been won in regular or extra time,when you get to spot kicks,any one can win,so as I have said,I am not too down because of this defeat....................

Even David Moyes the Everton manager agrees that Man Utd desrved a penalty kick when Welneck was brought down by Jagielka in the 2nd half and Riley the referee having been accused of being a Man Utd fan failed to award the penalty,anyway that was a 2nd string Utd and they kids played well!!

One thing for sure is that SAF wants to retire only after overcoming Liverpool's number of league trofees and thus the wed game against Portsmouth is a must win......the reason the regulars were rested!!!!

Am of the opinion that the Man u loss was well calculated........First,the ref,a die-hard Man fan refuses to give a penalty............Two.For all his experience,and knowing that Tim Howard is a former Man keeper and therefore would know how most of the oldies play their penalties,SAF allows Rio to take a penalty......Three.......Instead of taking the penalty,Berbatov gives the keeper a feeble 'backpass'.....Four.Have a look at Ben Foster's attempt at Jagielka's penalty.For sure,the ball was within reach but the lad did a half-hearted dive and let the ball slip under his body......Five.Tevez (At the club they call him 'the Vampire'),is not known to hold onto balls and being an attacker,he spent most of his time in the Mid.....Man is known for shooting power,so what happened yesterday?.Not even Paulo could shoot even with clear chances outside the box.........Can i conclusively say,this were SAF's instruction with a view to concentrating on the big two and taking the Wembly pitch for a scapegoat...???.....Clever old man...!!

McReggae...

They were denied one penalty but were later on awarded five to redeem themselves.

@mali ya nguvu.......gooners will be a walkover for liverpool kesho.

@PONDI..........tell them once more

@all manugus...........quantiple or whatever gone!! In between next two weeks gooners give you exit orders from CL........only trophy for you is perhaps PL if you can still hold your nerves together...poleni mapema,na si kwa ubaya.

Kingfisa,

Am not a Man fan but the Man loss was a planned loss well executed.It smells to the high skies......SAF is not remotely worried about it.......See?

SAF fielded a depleted side to preserve his top players for the mid-week clash with p'smouth....this was the day the master plan fused and his strategy for winning an unprecedented five trophies was ripped up and tossed into the nearest waste bin.

One down....two to go......i never thought i would say this but i would actually be delighted if L`fools win tomorrow. There`s nothing manugu fans can do about it!!!!

@Njung'e that wasn't planned.
Nobody plans to go all the way to lose in the semis.
