Now the status of Moi International Airport Mombasa is what is worrying me. The encroachment of slums right next to the runway is not only a disaster waiting to happen, it is a security risk! Am not talking Al Shabaab . . .
Imagine how many lives would be lost if a plane skidded off the runway kidogo tu or it missed the runway by a few inches.

Even wazungus landing in this facility i dont know what picture of Kenya they go back with. . .

For those who have not had the luxury of taking of a flight to and fto MIA moMombasa please have a look at the following clips then we petition Uhuruto. Either the airport is relocated ama watu wahame.

Another one for Uhuru how safe is the port of Mombasa? Considering our dependence on this facility and its strategic importance. There is urgent need for security audit and fire / disaster preparedness audit. Kuna business continuity plans


I dint see a slum...just settlements. Anyway maybe security should be increased but back to the ports....it seems the sacking threat really worked, maybe its time such ultimatums are given to other parastatal heads.
