I hear proposed new home ground for Tusker FC is Meru Kinoru Stadium. How true is this?

@jahman... confirm from your sources

Any positive effect on the game on those sides, assuming it is true?
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

At this Point, I will treat it as Pang'ang'a.

@King, that is far fetched it the Tusker vs Talanta GoTV Shield Cup that was initially scheduled for Kinoru Stadium in Meru but will now be played at the Ruaraka Grounds!!!!

Its a high time someone saw the potential of establishing a soccer team in a town outside Nairobi, Thika United did it and are slowly becoming a real regional club, it makes business sense for Tusker to move the team to Meru and continue shirt sponsoring them. They are the league sponsors so they don't need to be present in Nairobi.

They were invited and refused to move. It was a bad decision. It may have been their best hope of filling the terraces with fans and thus getting some gate revenue.

KPL should have encouraged the move as well. Towns like Embu, Meru, Machakos, Nyeri, Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa etc are eager to have a team they can throw their support behind.

I thought Thika United has always been a Thika team.... But there was an idea to move them to some premises in Ruaraka... or was it Ruiru [near the sponsors' factory]

Any way, I'm not a football fan, so I don't even know whether they moved home.....

Any way, I think it is about time EABL relinquished itself from this team and then adopted another one from, say Meru or wherever. Sort of thing that Mumias did and too on AFC.

It makes marketing and cultural sense! Support a team that has potential to pull in a committed fan base. Your ,money can help improve performance and everybody gains.

Who is a die hard Tusker fan?
