What I heard from them was first that they were not consulted as leaders from the coast, second that they read politics in this, third that the national land commission was not involved and fourth that they are planning to settle outsiders (read Kyuks) like what happened in rift valley during mzee's tenure

Hili ni tatizo la miaka mingi. Litatuliwa lini na nani? Huu ndiyo wakati wa wapwani kusuluhisha badala ya kupinga.

The National Land Commission has a job to do.......when the land issue came up in the run up to the elections, Billy Wailer and Mtembezi said that land issue is very big and can only be comprehesively addressed by the NLC.....what has changed????

@McRegae.......Nothing has changed.

They are working in consultation with the land commission.They could not have guessed the figure of 60,000 titles.

And this is just the beggining, more will come.

But the thickness and colour of your welding glasses do not allow you to see this.

That language of "we were not consulted" tunajua ni ya nani...

As for the non coastal(kiuks)getting title deeds.......well they are Kenyans and can own land anywhere just like all the Rashid Ochiengs who live in Kisumu ndogo area of Likoni, kisauni and mshomoroni, so long as they can prove they own the land. (Sale agreement, proof of payment etc...)
