Kiprotich, who won a Gold medal for Uganda has received a hero's welcome upon his return to Uganda. He is now meeting with Museveni at State house. (More... http://www.monitor.co.ug.../-/tme0tlz/-/index.html
...When Phelps of the US won the first Gold medal, President Obama personally tweeted him on Tuesday night following the Olympic swimmer's record-breaking 19th win.
@BarackObama
Congrats to Michael Phelps for breaking the all-time Olympic medal record. You’ve made your country proud. -bo
Mo Farah was invited by David Cameron to a hunger conference a day after he won the 5,000 meters.
...Now back home...When Rudisha and Kemboi won their Gold medals no word was heard from Statehouse...Of course Jakom sent his congratulatory messages....
...But my question is, why is our leadership so UNINSPIRING! People elect Obama not because he has has the best policies for his country, but because he makes them feel good...That feel good factor is very important....theraupitic, even when things are not working...

Did you know there are about 20,000 Kenyan students in UG? They must be doing something right and we're getting it all wrong. So expect more Kiprotiches from UG.

BBI will solve it

What exactly do u expect MK to say when you know very well that nothing ever suprises him.
Even if earth and mars switched places he will just blink,smile and say haiiya.Mambo ni hivyo tu.

this is the last time you will hear of kiprotich winning due to lack of sporting heroes uganda tend to overpamper them this may last for months which seriously affects training . kipsiro and inzukuru won two gold medals at the commonwealth games and the world championship after the pampering they never returned to form and still blames the endless parties. kemboi came back and proceded to training rudisha is still in europe for the diamond league UG tends to over do it

I have a strategy that can just win someone with the right genes more than a billion shillings in 20 years or less.

If you are one of those Kales with a nice lean running body, go to India and tafuta an authentic Indian girl. Marry her and get at least 3 children. Make sure they all have Indian names.

Bring them back to Iten and let them at least run 10 kilometres to school kila siku. Make sure they train hard to be good athletes. They don't have to be great, just be able to make it in the top 20 in a cross country in an average Iten school.

Just make sure that they speak kihindi at home and they go back to India their country every year ndio wasisahau nyumbani. Just before they become adults return them to India and let them continue hard training.

Now they should start entering competitions and if they are an average Iten runner they will start smashing Indian national records (a country of more than a billion). They just need to choose a good distance race like 800 metres or 1500 metres and all they need to do to rake in the millions is just to qualify for the finals in an Olympics or world championship, if they get even a bronze medal you can be sure your progeny to the 10th generation will never lack a penny.

India, a country of more than a billion has never won a single medal in these games!!!!
