Jinping, judging by his outstretched arm and aloof posture, seems to be conveying a message to UMK: I am the one in charge here. Pres. Kenyatta, rather oddly, looks to be the more deferential of the two. I can imagine that in the negotiations for the 400billion plus project, China had the upper hand in everything. In another thread, I alluded to the fact that we carry more cheerleaders than seasoned negotiators to these foreign trips. Are we really getting the best deal that we can from China? It is clear that our relationship with them benefits one more than it does the other.
