I am trying to get into buying of Unit trusts through an asset investment company. I have checked out British American and Old mutual and they are kinda expensive to start over Kshs 250 K. I also looked at Zimele Inv which only requires a minimum of Kshs 5K but i dont know how good they are. Can somebody reccommend me to good company that they have a good xperience so far. Am interested in money market and balance fund Unit trust

Zimele money market fund is okay. their annual rate is 8.5%

Everything happens for a reason.

The best performing money market fund in the country currently would probably be ICEA money market fund,i hear they have a financial geek who does wonders with that their growth fund (equivalent to balanced fund) portfolios. their MMF mostly do 9% and above...

their minimum is 100k
Its just me whatever choice you make in life make sure that you can live with it.

With unit trusts whether 9% or 8.5% growth, does kenya charge with holding tax on what you've gain on the investment? cause i understand there's no capital gains tax
