While i havent seen the reasearch instrument used, this rankings reminds me of when you go for the olympics and you are being ranked with akina @kiash sorry USA, Russia etc who are fielding teams in gymnastics, fencing, hammer and other sports alien to AfricaShame on you Shame on you Shame on you

Strath uni is very young and it started as a business school, how do you objectively gauge it against The Uni. Or other established ones like Moi Egerton or Ku even JKUAT?
in all fairness then we should be discussing faculty by faculty\school \ dept accross two or more unis. Like there is thread discussing USIU MBA vs The UoN

there is premier league, EPL na national league. In which case Strath competes with KCA uni

OPENNESS -16.7%. The global effort to set up institutional research repositories is explicitly recognized in this indicator that takes into account the number of rich files (pdf, doc, docx, ppt) published in dedicated websites according to Google Scholar

EXCELLENCE - 16.7%. The academic papers published in high impact international journals are playing a very important role in the ranking of Universities.

Yawa! Hata Mogadishu is ahead of akina USIU, KCA, Daystar et al?

BTW i have never reconciled the thought of one boarding a bus at Machakos Country Bus and proceed to a university? In my days we left shags for the city ( the only one then) to attend The Uni ( all the others were colleges of this or the other) but things have since changed. Even in my village there will soon be a university. No wonder ujunga inaongezeka badala ya kupungua.

I only looked at 500 universities in Africa...but for you
Great Lakes University of Kisumu is ranked 531 in Africa and no 16441 globally
