It's not ujinga but lack of a good manager. The kenyan athlete thinks of a good manager as loss of 30% earnings, but these guys are mentor, father, disciplinarian, accountant all rolled into one. Look for the movie 'Jerry Maguire' to appreciate managers/agents. Just imagine where Henry Rono, Samuel Wanjiru would have been in our annals of history. Those that got good managers - Tergat, Wakihuri are legends.
Talking of Morrocan runners, I believe the greatest was/is Nawal el Moutawakel who won gold in the 1984 Olympics. She helped break many barriers in the conservative Muslim world.
