Buoyed by sale of Nation Media group shares, turnover rose to Kes.8.8bn on a hefty tally on a volume of 173M shares, up from Kes.2.55bn on 83M shares posted the previous week.

The NSE 20 Share Index was up 30.32 points during the week to stand at 4842.59.
All Share Index (NASI) was up 0.18 points during the week to settle at 125.95 points.

Bollinger band breakout as NSE20 breaks above 4814. Big caps (mpesa bank, member, simba etc) leading the charge...

Btw this break is on heavy turnover. September will be funky...
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Not in OTC. ... MRM has two bonds trading at NSE (FR (MRM) 2008/8Yr and FXD (MRM) 2008/8Yr)

The Bourse opened the week with a total of 31M shares valued at Kes.560M, down from Kes.1.17bn on a volume of 55M shares posted last Friday.

The NSE 20 Share Index was up 8.95 points to settle at 4851.54.
All Share Index (NASI) was up 0.26 points to stand at 126.21.
