So far, too much domo domo from fake African . Last year the foreign remittances was the 4th largest forex contributor to the country, It accounted for Kes 104.3B (official figures.....of coz kuna zile zinaingia na mapanya routes).....80% of this amount was from Europe and North America!!!!!! We might just save 53B..... See? Plus, if the ties are strengthened, Kenyans might just head that direction to be translators and English teachers and bring back the yens and the like..... diversification, may be.... well, am trying to think what jumbree is thinking..... cant find any other reasons... The place has opportunities for those, but we ain't native English speakers. It ain't easy for Kenyans but we need lobbying to get the same status as South Africa. But then again, how about our "me i" English! Kenyans, give yourselves credit and talk atleast highly of yourselves. While i am not versed with matters of global economy,i think there are opportunities everywhere.I have met professional Kenyan and Sudanese Dari and Pashto translators in Kabul city, well paid and enjoying their chosen field .So why would it be odd or unthinkable to have Kenyans translating or doing other jobs in China or Estonia. This is what i think needs to happen in the minds of most Kenyans-stop thinking about what you always did,and explore, explore explore and explore........ i know a Kenyan teaching English in Japan.people have talents that are not explored,so I think even if you want to show how Kenya should not embrace China at the expense of the west,no need to post as though nothing can come out of China So at one point,Kenyans make fun of people making it the West, saying they are washing butts of old people, another time, they are exalting them about remitances to country. As for those with "me English",rudi shule usome

It’s simple you have a bank and a cooperative society , both giving loans bank at 20 % pa and coop at 12% pa, which one do you go for? Simple the cheapest with less security required. That’s what the gov is doing. We are still paying for loans taken since them days and we do not even know of the interest rates. The difference is the Chinese companies bring their own people to do even menial jobs. I think that is the point the gova needs to look at.

Chinese are taking care of him.. Bill Clinton, while visiting Africa with his daughter Chelsie, thinks very about relationship between Africa and China. He had some piece of advice to the US: that they should stop the " zero-sum-game" (what is this animal anyway?), instead create a future where it can share with China. He actually sated that US is falling behind China in helping the continent. He didn't spare Barack: "I don't think he cares about Africa and I'll be surprised if he doesn't spend quite a bit of time on (the continent) in his last three years"...

Dude, its not just labour, the chinese ship in their own materials as well..cement for construction. Where does this leave our local industries? It cannot have been a state visit. You cannot invite a president to your country then snub him, neither can one force a state visit to a place he is unwanted. Cord propaganda not adding up!
