TAZ wrote:TAZ wrote:To be honest with you this whole Suarez saga has become a bit annoying, on Monday reports indicated that when Suarez reported for International duty, he specifically asked team-mates and even the Uruguayan FA to stay silent on his transfer saga now there's an article from some newspaper claiming ati he's decided to stay and he'll sign a new contract. Reminds me of when it was being reported that RVP had made a U-Turn and decided to stay at Arsenal only for him to seal a move to Man Utd a week later. I think they only thing standing in Suarez's way to Arsenal is L'pool, there not going to let him join us.....they'd rather sell for less to Real. Anyway like i said, if L'fools don't want to sell then we should go after other targets, Dzeko and Michu are both good, they both tested in the EPL and would be less costly. This Suarez saga isn't about to end any time soon, Sky Sports are reporting that the player has denied reports claiming that he wants to stay at L'pool. I ask again apart from @suarez which other top player are Arsenal targeting seriously before the window is closed? TAZ wrote:@ McR......actually that's what L'pool want but no one else has lodged a serious bid for Suarez apart from Arsenal. Real Madrid are at the moment focused on Bale but if they decide to go after the Uruguayan they deal would be completed haraka sana. Seems the new strategy for Wenger this season is to go at opposition defence with ass arsenals, and that's why Suarez is such a key capture for him. Impose the fear of a Suarez Bite on em poor defenders

@ Impunity.....Wenger has indicated that Arsenal will be active before the transfer window closes, i don't think i have a problem with that. Signing early is always good because it gives the new players time to settle in before the season starts but the key date for me is Sep 2, sometimes you have to wait until the last date. I just hope the players Wenger wants to sign are quality kama Carzola.....
"We are active,We are in a situation like Manchester United, like Chelsea, where everybody expects signings and at the moment not a lot has happened. There are 18 days to go, so that is a long time in the transfer market and we will be active. I cannot certify what the number [of players coming in will be] but we will be active until the end, that is for sure." Wenger

Spurs have signed 4 good players for a total of about 60 million. And AVB says they will sign more. If Bale stays, Spurs could be up near the TOP.

This is going to be tough season for Arsenal fans. No sensible signings and the league starts today... Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.
