My tank is actually outside the roof, did a simple concrte plus steel structure to prop it up approx 4 meters just above the lintel(spl) height!
Works perfect so far...even in the kitchen taps are running fast and wenye jikoni are happy!

Doesn't the 'external' tank ruin the aesthetics of the design? My tank is in the roof and cannot be raised further. Actually a plumber came once and raised it by 0.5M, it didn't make much difference. I beleive that if i used a cylindrical tank things would be a little bit better.

@a4architect.com thank you i received the contacts of your professional plumber for advice.
The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.

You let the experts do the external tanks professionally, the tank itself stands beautifully in the compound.

I don't think the shape of the tank has any effect , what matters is the height,.... also called HEAD.

Yes it is all about the head…. Rectangular plastic tanks are much shorter than cylindrical ones for same capacity; hence they have much lower head - a disadvantage.

What is a telephone shower?

The one with a handle which looks like the old telephone handsets.. plus you hold it as if you are receiving a call.

Simple google for photos.

I have seen it (and try use it) in most hotels but dislsiked it, I like the traditional overhead shower...I think the telephone type will best suit the muslims when it comes to washing their assholes after sh*eting!
