C & P Here's a reminder that Arsenal have finally got their cheque- books out, greedily surveyed the transfer market, and... opened talks with Bacary Sagna over a new contract . He's currently on a reported £60,000 a week, so I guess we can presume their opening offer will be £60,001 a week! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

praying hard for u guys Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

@ Maichblack......Now that we are talking about players wages, i find it to be quite strange that Ryan Giggs a player who has been "tearing them apart" since 1990 is earning just £75k a week at Man Utd (which is the same as Welbeck). Mtu kama Ashley Young who hasn't quite done anything anapewa £120k.......hiyo ni kunyanyasa mzee, ama he just has an idiot for an agent. Hata Fletcher and Anderson earn more than him.

Let me school you @TAZ. When a contract is renegotiated/renewed, the wages might be increased or reduced depending on your form, number of games you are expected to play etc. And that is why for example Drogba rejected a one year deal from Chelsea because he knew the following year while negotiating the next one, he will have less bargaining power. How many games does Giggs play? It's rare for him to play two weekends in a row as brilliant as he is. Mid week then weekend - forget. And even when he plays he will do an hour or less. Very few players EVER finish their careers without taking a PAY CUT. Unless you retire at <= 30 or you are too good you get a 4 or 5 year deal when you are almost 30. Even Ronaldo! After he signs the next deal, the one after that he will be taking a PAY CUT - At Real or elsewhere. Same to Rooney. Even RvP!!! Arsenal on the other hand will pay 75k to the fellow who carries the team - after carrying the team for a season or two!! You have to be the best, raise hell, have a year left in your contract, refuse to renew etc. etc. for them to get you even to 80k! As for Welbeck and Ashley Young, when the signed, it was envisaged they would play more. But injuries, competition for places, loss of form etc. has hampered that. But a deal is a deal. You don't reduce pay mid-contract! And by the way @TAZ, before you start siasa ya pesa nane, get me names of ONLY three players in the HISTORY of professional football who were/are making £75k a week at Giggs age! Sometimes it's nice to get your facts rights and putting everything in context before bringing porojo! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
