@guru - still waiting at 3.50? You will get overfilled...

Bought a huge chunk yesterday and today at between 3.4-3.6 bob!

I can't see it below 3bob... Today might also provide a new support at 3.5!

@guru,
No harm in disagreeing as long as you do not carry a machete.....but i would be very much interested to know where the growth will come from because so far and other than hot air,reality on the ground says otherwise......a big otherwise!

@Hisah,
6.50 would be more than good.....I'll stick to 3.50.

@njung'e where are you? How is the reality on the ground?

Government suspends registration of sugar importers

The government has further advised all the 11 licensed millers to immediately suspend all their dedicated distributorships and open up to larger distribution network.

"This will encourage direct sales of sugar to any willing buyer and retailers in order to help remove market distortions that are contributing to the unjustified price disparities," noted the Agriculture secretary.

That is not rescue if I may tell you.It is mere advice on their distributorship and the suspension is on new registrations.The registered ones will still continue to import sugar on the guise that it is enroute to Uganda and dump it in the market or underdeclare it and dump it in the market with the aid of KRA officials.The management also benefit from the distributors.

I find this explaining todays jump

"Mumias’ 14-day relative-strength index fell to 14.1 yesterday, the lowest since March 2009, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. A level below 30 signals to some technical analysts that the stock is oversold and set for to climb. The RSI rose to 32.9 today.
