Hi All; the main reason I got here was I was searching for sites that discuss abt investing in houses...tho I basically want to buy a house to live in... I once got what I thought was an excellent deal. Some lady living in the UK offered to sell to me her house in some place near muguga (kerwa,I think),at 3M. Its 3 brds,in one acre land. When I sought advice (motsly from collegues,including our security guys where I work),they adviced that I am safer buying an aprtment because 'mungiki will chase you from your own house and you will regret buying it'... what do you guys think? should I have bought it? of course I wanted to live in some 'mashambani' environment and have cows and chicken.. though I am a serious CW (career woman!).

I have struggled with that decision for a year... I probably just go on and buy aprtment...,which unfortunmately are more expensive (8-9M in partlands)
