Traffic cops to be pulled out of roundabouts soon. After the installation of the new traffic lights (with time display) and Cameras which will capture offenders.

The memory disk in the traffic camera will be full in no minute, with 99% of everyone breaking the law...this is just another Jublee's digital blunder! Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

Me thinks this is a good strategy - In some countries the fines for traffic offences is more than the cost of a Vitz. if the lights have turned red no one will dare jump even at midnight when there is no other road user. The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem

goodpeople, it's not about the lights. It's a new centrally controlled traffic system. Control room guys will be checking traffic and then adding time to the areas jampacked using the new digital lights. Source DN ya leo

With this acclamation you have invited the wrath of wazualetsless...So Vitz is the lowest unit of monetary measure? Just watch Road Hog on Citizen and you will realize how rotten our traffic manners are. All the big offenders read like " Office of the President, Judiciary, Dept of Administration of Justice, Hon XYZ etc etc". A county that does not operate under its own rules is just a jungle. All we need to follow the traffic rules. "Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least." Goethe

Or maybe you forgot that the thugs will cut those posts.... scrap... Anyway, let's wait and see. We always have to start from somewhere. Life is joy, death is peace, but the transition is very difficult.

Anyway, let's wait and see. We always have to start from somewhere. My fear exactly. Add rioting UON students And that should be loaded on their HELB loans! All the Police needs to do is walk to the university, ask for names of the offenders, if none is produced, the cost is slapped pro-rata on every single soul, culprit or innocent, until everyone learns to carry their own cross and be brother's keeper. Hakuna atarudia. Or the fine goes to the university, which then loads it on the students' fees.

The 'timer' lights work very well in Khartoum where there are no roundabouts but boxed junctions. They still can work here but the trouble is with the Kenyan culture of impunity. Fine needs to be at the rate of cost of 'probox' per traffic offence. "Peace is our profession, War is our business" ...Unknown
