what is the cost of postage? I assume cheques would be mailed first class mail (i.e. sealed envelope)...maybe after that cost + the envelop they decided 'what the hell...' or they are letting banks bid for it as overnight deposits (which is what I hear they do with the huge cash inflows from airtime sales)

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

@Djinn;

I post a lot of letters in my business every month...

Normal postage [sealed envelope] is sh25

Envelope is sh3

Total sh28

.
.
but if they have a few hundred thousand letters,they can negotiate with Posta....banks do that all the time for the monthly statements
.
.
.
.
It appears that Posta will be the greatest beneficiary of this dividend....and Mpesa,of course....

Have they started sending on Mpesa?

I am seeing guys who do not fully utilise this site. If you want to see the dividend days look at Analysis-announcements and you will see all the dividend dates and amounts. I think most people have reached a point they just log on to discuss there are some great things here...my favorite being the performance calculator......where I can see that safcom has given guys 17% profit i.e. those who bought it exactly today last year

@Mukiha - actually there is an idea in there - if they would invariably turn to posta to deliver cheques...they could go the extra mile and also use posta pay as well...though it somewhat competes against Mpesa...
