I did my own research on whch stock markets currently have the highest returns for your money from January to June 2013,the 6 months period and i found the following:

International Top 5
1. Japan 34%
2.UAE 28%
3.Argentina 27%
4.Kuwait 23%
5.Phillipines 20%

Africa top 5:
1.Ghana 46.4%
2.Zimbabwe 38.6 %
3.Uganda 29.4%
4.Nigeria 25.4%
5.Kenya 22.7%

Anyone here with experience in stock trading outside Kenya to give advice on how you go about registering, the registration charges, other relevant info like capital gains tax appliable, etc

Personally iv intested in the NSE but id also like to invest in the stock exchanges of : Japan, Ghana and Nigeria(Ghana and Nigeria have yearly returns of 71% and 68.4% respectively compared to the 41% of the Nairobi Securites Exchange)

Been interested in this as well:

I am not sure about the countries on your first list, but here are some ideas from Ryan Hoover, though written from the perspective of someone who lives in the US:

There are some great turn-around/recovery plays in Zim/ZSE such as Meikles Ltd (X-Listed on the LSE).

MEIK.zw | Interim Management Report - 15 August 2013

This Interim Management Statement is issued by Meikles Limited in accordance with the UK Listing Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules. Unless stated otherwise, key trends and figures highlighted below refer to the three months ended 30 June 2013 and the corresponding period in the previous financial year.... http://ir.meiklesinvesto...=0&LangID=1&s=0

In addition, the ZSE is expected to begin automated trade by the end of the year. www.zimbabwe-stock-exchange.com (Information on brokerage and investment banks can be found thereon).

NB: The economy has been running on USDs since 2009. Great currency hedge and equity (returns) combo.

It's very interesting to see and have something like we now have booming african countries. And I would love to see how many others are in comparison from our continent, and finally glad to see that international mainly not from USA or Western Europe anyway.
