Mr. Pamba should have been elected the Chair of the Governors Summit. He would have done quite well (Given these benchmarking visits). The only problem is that he was not qualified. Next time I would propose he considers being Governor; the other one just too high for him.

Kenyan Governors listening to Investors making presentations on emerging business opportunities in Kenya.

Ladies and gentlemen, there goes your devolved funds. Instead of inviting these so called "investors" to the respective counties. We are busy spending in their countries.

Where's gov Rick Perry? I thought the host would have been present? Compare this and what was in Machakos?

Kidero refuses to tag along....

2 things.
i) I think he wants to take a run at the Presidency, to do that, he needs to emerge from RAO's shadow, not appear like a lackey
ii) Going abroad with no substantial agenda, no appointments with heavy hitters (serious investors, senior US leadership) just shows these guys are simpletons - they live in an era where they think frequent flying to the foreign nations is sophistication. I am glad it appears Kidero is above that. These trips are a nuisance to protocol people and an embarrassment to Kenya and the governor's office.
Didn't people read the Wikileaks cables? 'Oh dear here they come again to waste our precious time'. Travelling to a foreign country only to be snubbed or stuck with junior government functionaries (as happens many times though nobody will admit it) or get inconsequential 5 minute meetings is humiliating.

@quicksand, so Kidero is above that by forming anti urinating squads in Nairobi, truth be said there is nothing of substance from Kidero thus far that can be compared with akina Mutua/Jamawego/even Joho to N extent. People not in the entourage want us to believe they know all the details of how the trip went!

The trip is/was a fail...and i think @quicksand has some very valid points.
By the way, the Kisii govenors will head to Minnesota before jetting back to KE.
