Referendum Question ? Do we need both Senate and Parliament?

Rank: Elder Joined: 6/8/2013 Posts: 2,517		With the push for a referendum to increase revenue sharing between cetral Gava and County Gabbanas RINK My proposal for a referandum querstion is: With The 47 Devolved Parliaments (county assemblies) za Gabbanas, and a Senate with 47+ Do we need Parliament with 300+ members What in God's name does an assembly of 300+ debate? when do all members get t contribute Kenya is such a small country that cannot afford some of the wastage and duplication currently happening. With a bloated Civil Service some of whose funtions are duplicated we need to act and save our country from financial collapse... Can we rethink and tabulate the real cost of devolution and reduce some of these counties to economically viable units? Mungu Ibariki Kenya ... Over 300 lawmakers are just too many and there is no evidence the quality of representation increased with the number of MPs. We can enhance the katiba to provide for checks and balances between the 2 houses. If our NA becomes rogue as has been the case over their salos and unilateral slashing of MDA s budgets who checks them? Even a BrOKeN clock is right twice a day

The high number of Mps is an attempt at achieving equitable representation. The fmr Embakasi was split into 5 while others like Juja into 3 to improve on population based representation. the question is on a regular 8-5 can we justify what our MPigs both nominated and elected do? can they justify their pay? My point is whatever the National Assembly does can be done more cheaply by the Senate otherwise devolved to county assembly. Saw some Womens' rep making noises on TV juzi asking for money for projects at counties WTF eti they should be given more recognition because they represent a bigger consituency just like a senator what is their job description? Adopt a federal government and do away with this devolution mambo jambo... 2. Convert the former 8 provinces into 8 federal states with 8 elected governors and 8 elected senators 3. The newly created 47 counties should remain and be divided among the 8 states to be represented by 47 Members of parliament 4. The 290 constituencies should be headed by 290 constituency reps.. The federal government of Kenya would have 8 governors, 8 senators, 47MPs and 290reps! Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16
