This in itself is in very bad faith. Two weeks have already been added to the ediucation calender which means the teachers will have compensated part of the time lost during the strike.why deny them the pay then. This Jubilee goverment can avoid some of this silly small things....BK!Sad

People funded this duo's warchest; They have to be rewarded/repaid (and with returns too), and this is one of the ways. Or did we imagine that since these guys are already rich they financed the campaigns entirely from their pockets?
No one will stop this and other kinds of thuggery even if we all marched naked and rioted for days. Its pure greed plain and simple.

I am watching this with a resigned detachment. This is Africa. Nothing changes. We are cursed.

Sad Shame on you

You want to justify lavish expenditure on non-priority issues? You want to justify irregular rewarding of government contracts (read corruption) to benefit a few individuals?

You must be a tax evader.

Not justify, no. Just offering a plausible explanation. When you begin to comprehend things, anger is sometimes replaced by a deep sadness and/or despair. I am slowly coming round to @alma's point of view. ..it is useless to vote. They are all the same these f###### politicians. And I am not a tax evader either.

But why should they be paid yet they REFUSED to work claiming they were on strike, which the courts found to be illegal? Do you get paid while not working yet your not on leave?
