People are interesting...did you expect the govt not to celebrate 50 years of independence? Who said it would have been cheaper if any other govt was in place? The celebrations would have gone on anyway!! I prefer seeing money being spent internally than if it was spent of a foreign trip that had nothing to do with the local mwananchi. When the gvt spends like this...money circulates locally so just position yourself to benefit from it.

320 M - Identifying Kenya's prominent personalities
50 M - MK's bronze statue

List is endless. Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

THIS IS SHAMEFUL!

Sometimes govt spending like in this case does actually boost the economy. It will be a good thing for the companies that will win tenders for the supply of various goods and services during the celebrations. Hata sisi when we throw birthday parties, we boost the local businesses eg supermarkets, pubs, butchery etc.

Exactly

Are you so much in the know that you are aware that the dialisys machine is not budgeted for in this financial year?

Are you so naive to believe that the so called "IDPs" that we have today are genuine? Really? SMH

At last some people now question if the IDPs are really genuine.....mmmmh, yep they are the same ones who the other day said that the suspects are innocent and many clapped.
