What I'm not understanding is why Man Utd have placed a 3rd bid for Cesc, reports of 35M pounds http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1504851?cc=3888
Either there's something Man Utd know that we don't or this is now clutching at straws. In fact I would have thought an easier target to go for would have been Modric since Madrid already have a new coach who can say whether Modric is surplus to requirements or not. We know that Cesc's was in Tito's plans and I guess he will be in Martino's plans so I have no idea where Utd want to end with this. Ofcourse it would be orgasmic to have Cesc and then keep Rooney but am seeing a situation where neither happens. I'm encouraged by the work ethic Moyes has introduced into the team which has been evident in the pre season games, you can see a work rate that was not there which will be a huge advantage coupled with the already ingrained winning mentality. I think some of these player we want sold might just give their best under Moyes. One player I am 100% will have great season is Kagawa, his injury and misplacement worked against him, I think this is the season he shows why Dortmund forgot about Goetze when he was injured for 4 months in his last season for them BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

maka wrote: I feel like crying Wenger is a big let down at this rate we are not signing anyone not even the vampire... Don't worry my friend, most of these top signings are usually concluded in August when desperation kicks in from either the selling or buying club. I don't think any player will be signed when we Wenger and Gazidis are both in Asia, perhaps we should expect some news from next week. We had been told that both Higuain and Ceasar would sign for Napoli but reports coming out indicate the two players have not yet agreed any deals with Napoli and are thought to be holding out for deals with Arsenal. I think this Suarez bid is just a PR stunt from the club to appease the fans and keep them all excited, same as Man Utd's move for Cesc......kwanza after Rooney's behaviour. Fabregas will not be signing for Man Utd as Pique and Wenger have already declared, they are just wasting time with offers. The club's lost SAF and CEO David Gill almost at the same time both of whom were very good at transfers, I don't think the current team has what it takes to wrap up such top signings....labda watu kama Fellaini and Baines where Moyes has an influence. Wenger is usually very unpredictable when it comes to transfers! Like I said we might even miss out on all the targets being highlighted by the media but I'm certain we will get quality players this summer.

Barca have a very interesting way of communicating. Bale has apparently agreed a six year deal with Real Madrid, lets wait and see how that plays out. Btw CR7 plays in the same position as Bale, maybe he'll be their new forward. http://www.telegraph.co....to-Spanish-reports.html

Real Madrid must be pissed by these developments because it now means if they want Suarez they'd have to outbid Arsenal. It seems their top target is Gareth Bale, they haven't officially made any approach for Suarez but they would be considered frontrunners if they were to do so.I think its either Arsenal are very serious about Suarez or they want to force Real to sell Higuain to them by going after their target. The Suarez bid is huge, almost three times our current record signing....I don't think hata Man Utd have ever spent that much on a player.
@ Bebeto.....Spurs and L'pool are just "busy" signing average players, more like what we've been doing each season. Like @Maka has said I'd rather we get just one marquee signing that several useless players. What's wrong with Arsenal winning pre-season matches, the team is in great shape especially Giroud. The club has a CL qualifier coming up soon so we expect them to be well prepared. How has Man utd performed so far in pre season, you also seem to be struggling in the transfer market.

Dude, we may be struggling in the transfer market, but never think that losing pre-season matches means United is done and dusted. We've been there before and have won titles when the seasons are over. Bado hamtamaliza mbele yetu. Man City lost two pre-season matches in South Africa, yet, together with the Red Devils and Chelsea, they'll also be in contention for the title. Fact. You have been there before with SAF but now your entire technical bench is new and unlike City and Chelsea you haven't quite yet made any significant signings. I still insist that Moyes will be under immense pressure next season and losing these preseason matches isn't helping his situation. Anyway we can't read too much into preseason results but I'm sure you wouldn't be talking like that if you had won all your matches.

And why would Moyes be chasing Fabregas when Fellaini would provide better anchorage in midfield where we struggled physically... He can fight for aerial balls, Challenge Yaya toure in midfield with tackles, intimidate defenders with physical prowess, score headers and also a couple of goals on both feet.. Me says we are better of with the Afro Boy than Fabregas...
