I wish I could tell the real reason why he is leaving politics. He comes from a minority clan in Mandera which has faced hostilities during his tenure. Could he be doing this for the sake of his people leaving in peace?

Its a loss for Kenya. He was one of the few level headed leaders able to influence across the political divide.

i agree that this is one of Kenya's real patriotic leaders...

quitting elective politics does not mean he will not have opportunities to serve Kenyans, there are many other positions this man can hold...the only downside is that politics will lose one of the clear headed guides but then again, have the others been listening amidst all the din?

He is in the law firm with Ahmednassir.He also owns a chunk in First Community Bank.
