I dont like this idea of the powers that be ( France,Britain,Germany,Italy,China etc) arrest the somali pirates on the high seas then hand them over to Kenyan authorities to try them.The international law states that a crime commited in international waters (and no man's land) can be tried in any country that is willing to handle the case (IS KENYA WILLING???). So I dont unerstand why these powers keep on dumping the captive pirates to Kenya.Soon u will here that the Islamic Somali pirates have declared a JIHAD on peace loving Kenyans.......Soma lipsi yangu...!!!

I'm sure you meant 'read your lips'.

Btw isn't this phrase just weird when written?

The fact that we host the interests of america and israel is reason enough to get bombed any time. However such cooperation is what makes kenya a strategic partner to the powers that may be and is a precursor to aid and grants.

Btw Kenya is so blessed. These somalis respect Kenya big time,after all,its their investment haven for stolen loot and ransom dollars. We have provided a refugee camp 4them when things boil over accross the border. Furthermore,they have their brothers in northern kenya. Im also very sure Esich waria tycoons have a lot of influence on mogadishu activities. Bombers? Maybe some intoxicated arab luza.

No Somali is willing to wear a 'heaven' sent bag around their necks with a promise of seven maidens if not to retaliate the arrest of their pirate brothers yet the loot is obviously invested on Kenyan soil! You will be shocked to know some of the masterminds of piracy along the Somali coast,they have links to some of the tycoons right on our soil and are the biggest beneficiaries of the loot. They are establishing an economic jihad right here and if the think tanks are under the radar then be forewarned. If history judges itself,warias arent suicide bombers,its the fundamentalists Arabs,Pakistanis and a few Indo. Relax and dont let paranoia get you!

There is a difference between Islamic fundamentalists and Jihadists,not a very clear line but it is there. I don't think there is anything to worry about. Suicide bombers in Kenya? Naah!
Don't you read Newsweek and Times magazines??

@Impunity

This claim is baseless.

But @xtina

Newsweek,Time Mag. or any Western media house for that matter are not authorities on African issues. They are clueless so don't be fooled by the glossy paper. The only thing they have going for them is better broadcast & print equipment.

You need only look at their coverage on the recent Mungiki murders...innuendos,misrepresentation and rumour re-packaged as indepth analysis and 'the story behind the story'. Despite their many weaknesses,our local 'hunter-becomes-the-hunted' journalists do a better job.

I am well aware of Times' and Newsweek' innuendos and misinterpretation of facts;their credibility in my eyes was shattered after i read one of their stories covering post election violence last year.
I have great interest in Middle East,Afghanistan and Iraq,Pakistan and the greater Arab world,i have come to understand the complexities of the Arab world by reading those two magazines.
Maybe their coverage of the Middle East is wrong or biased,but all in all those magazines have me very knowledgeable about other parts of the world.

I read them too every now and then & agree they are one of several means to broaden understanding and be world-aware. On that particular point I do agree. So if you put it that way,I get it.

My favourite columnist is Fareed Zakaria,he wrote the article which differentiated Jihadists and fundamentalists. The guy is simply brilliant!
