Track-It installed the tracking gadges on some vehicles and not on others,Yes thats could be true.But why shut down their monitoring and control centre and offices which have been serving the other clients very well?I have my car installed by the GPS tracking device and it has served me very well till last night....

Why cant the police simply arrest the man Shejad Tejani and let the firm serve the other clients who have no complaints like me?

What will protect my car from today? And I have even made down payment for the service till end of year.....Any lawyers in the house?

I have not even seen any man/woman logging a case at any police station that his/her car was not installed with tracking device from Track-It...........its the useless KTN who is shitting all over the place with half baked mediocrity.

SK has close to over 370 registered user and no one here has claimed that his so called 'Not hot car' has not been intalled with the device.So what the hell?

I just want that control centre to be switched on and let them get Tejani from wherever he is if they want him.PERIOD.

Like I said before, this whole thing is payback for something! It is however true that Track-it have been experiencing cash flow constraints and creditors were on their necks!

But surely, they provide an essential service! They don't sell tomatoes or biscuits such that clients will not suffer! Closing down the operations shows that the guys who've been appointed (never heard of them) are being malicious (or at least their handlers are)! If they were competent, qualified and able business recovery experts, they would have continued operations and gradually inform their clients that the operation was being closed! But again, we may not have the full facts! Nonetheless, the KTN story has served its purpose of putting Track-it out of business!

Still amazed that the '45% of the clients whose cars were fitted with the tracking gadget were defrauded' as alluded by KTN have not come out or recorded complaints!

Here's something I remember from pr class.
'reputation is a very fragile thing and once damaged it's extremely hard to restore'

I hope they get an affiliation or are acquired by a well respected reputable company or person with very deep pockets soon,re-brand and engage a good pr firm because KTN seems to have dug Track It a very pretty grave.

Now will the govt refund all those who have paid premiums for the next one to three years?

The so called caretakers should have just taken over the managemnt of the firm,probably lay off a few chaps and lets u sleep comfortably.They are closing the company last mid-night without even informing the non-aggrieved clients like us.!Who among us here can stand and claim that Track It defrauded him/her????

@Impunity

the government had no hand in this matter,therefore it is not liable. No one should expect to be compensated by the GoK.

The story was broken by KTN. If it turns out that it was not true,then Track-it will sue KTN for damages and the clients can request to be enjoined to claim refunds for lost service after the company was shut down.

@Mukiha,

Serikali imo hapo ndani pia because they are the one who sent the so called USELESS caretakers there and the HOPELESS police to shut down the premises and send the employees parking.

Am told there is a planned demo by the 'former' employees and the innocent clients like me.This country Kenya is surely moriband.

On this matter,I believe the KTN story… as a wise businessman,if someone tries to tarnish my name,I prove them wrong. As I said in the previous post,Track IT should have proved to the world that KTN had fabricated the story by simply giving the location of the cars of the clients who claimed no tracking devise was fitted.

Personally I had the gadget 'installed' in my car and after the story I called them asking for the location of my car but they could not…. They gave me a long story about signals and promised to call me back…. I am still waiting

@Sasha,I would really love to complain but to who?? And knowing our justice system….

If tejani was conning clients,why was he not arrested? As for KTN,they need to tell us if they have any relation with Car Track (or any of their directors/owners).

@ Impunity ( Well.....what a name)

I have first hand experience. We installed track it on one of our hire vehicles. One time we gave it to a client who didnt turn up when it was due. When we called Track it,they started stories.... ati,our car was fitted with a private use device not hire one.

What nonsense is that? its just by the grace of God that we got the car after 4 days. Those guys were selectively ripping some motorists off in the name of Some models are not in demand with the theives.

This is part of the reason why I believe media should be gagged. Irresponsible use of their press freedom to fight competition. Who owns Car Track? Giddy! Who is the majority shareholder in Std Group? Giddy! Do you need more reason to understand the motive of the so called 'Wizi wa Ngawira' story? There is no public interest they are protecting. Just covering their behinds by getting rid of competition.

@karis.....This is why I some time like MK,did u see how the Always TV cried blood when word went round tha Baks was to make media thwacking a law?I congratulate MK for signing that law and nothing should be ammended on it.

KTN did not even care about the over 70 employees Track it employees and feeds.This thing should have been solved amicably by simply the useless TV station notifying the CID.

And where did they take the greenbacks?????

@karis,the question of the shareholders of Car Track/KTN is irrelevant here.. question is,did Track It con some of its clients?? Was the information relayed by KTN true?? The answer is yes since they could not tell the location of my car… its that simple

I now now support the govt to gag the media this is really sad. Track it pursued and recovered my Rav4 in Moshi only 2 days after it was stolen and had already been painted silver from white. Even if Tejani tried to bribe KTN it doesnt mean he did it coz he was guilty it means he was trying to protect his company. Many pple in taxi and car hire biz will now spend sleeppless nights unless something is done. But wait a minute,its part of vision 2030 by trying to encourage direct investment and creating 500000jobs by encouraging investors by grabbing private property.

Have Kenyans forgoten how irresponsible KTN and Starndard broke the Murungaru outbursts about terrorism akiwa internal security minister and by the end of the week hotels and airports in kenya were empty with thousands jobless and yet they call themselves resposible media houses SHAME ON THEM

@McReggae: No. This is not it! I would not touch a controversial company with a barge pole!

@Impunity: It is not the government that sent the receivers so your blaming the gava is misplaced! The government cannot appoint a receiver! What claim would a client have against Track-it? You bought their equipment, you pay for the tracking service!

For those who were clients at the company, please read and reread the contract of service. If there is no clause that says that the contract is rendered invalid by insolvency or bankruptcy of the company, you have just cause to sue them for breach of contract!
