Kagizzard, list them. After consulting the web, I just realized they didn't make sense, eg I saw Luhya, maragoli, kabras etc in one list, nandi,kalenjin, pokot etc in another. Any official list? TULIA.........UFUNZWE!

{Kalenjin, Luhya n Mijikenda are not tribes, yes?}. Kalenjin is a conglomeration of at several distinct ethnic groups, namely: Nandi, Kipsigis, Tugen, Sabaot, Marakwet, Pokot and the Elgeyo. Those are the ones I recall from my history. It is also said that the Luhya as a tribe did not exist until the year 1948 when several ethnic groups were lumped together by the colonial government. Some people like to point at the lack of a shared communal history as confirming this. Mijikenda are, well, nine tribes literally. They include the Giriama, Digo, Chonyi, Duruma, Kauma, Rabai,Ribe, Kaunda, etc. The things 8-4-4 made us cram yaani, wacha tu...  Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

I will name my people, Giriama, Digo, Duruma, Chonyi, Rabai, Ribe, Kauma, Kambe and Jibana. Though in my lifetime am yet to meet a single Jibana and Kambe. Sijui wamejificha wapi? But most have intergrated with the larger tribes of the Miji.
