Simonkabz,i do not need to understand you to tell you are a tribalist of the worst order,all you need to do is bark like an animal in the game park.

Yes i support Raila politically and so does Charles Njonjo,to me that is being nationalistic.

@Impunity......mkosa mila ni mtumwa

In English: One without culture is a slave.

What is culture?

It comprises (amongst other things) customs,language,food,dress,traditions....

The suggestion that we forget our languages is not only naive,but also contradictory.

In one breath we are told tribal identity is a bad thing; in the next breath we are told that it is important to maintain our cultures. Yet our cultures have tribal roots.

As I wrote in previous thread,imagine the tragedy of the world losing 40+ languages!!

@Mukiha....What will Kenyans of good will lose if the Kyuk language is lost permanently?NOTHING and I think Kenya will be a better place to live on without these blood thirsty leeches from the slopes.Infact if I find a baruti I would flatten all those FM stations like coro,kameme,inooro etc coz they just suck.PERIOD.

To me all kyuks are like 'gwogi lilo,jochiende mawuotho godiochieng'

@ meow,why would u lead such an unhappy life?? U need to change the attitude,dont hate a third of kenya's population coz of pllitical affiliations,rem life is too short to waste a third of it hating your fellow innocent brothers n sisters. Try n smile more often,try seeing the good things rather than the bad,try being oftenly optimistic...........coz thats life my brother.

Your hatred of kiuks is only a burden onto ONLY yourself. Read the bible clearly coz you are throwing burning coal at others. It will be burn you first before anyone else. The law of attraction states that you attract what you perceive(that is the message from law it can probably be put in a different way)

Keep well friend as all kenyans are in kenya by right not favour.

Despite the suggestion by Njung'e,I feel compelled to respond....with a question:

Why do you hate Kikuyus so much? What have they done (or not done) to deserve you hatred?

Surely,unlike what @simonkabz says,it cannot be because of politics; or is it?

Please try and be sober about it and tell us what it is you hate about Kikuyus.

Way to go guys.... we have a full life ahead - and its not a rehearsal.
i will leave you with a quote which,if you think about,is so very true.

@all

I am too busy with my cause to hatetoo absorbed in something bigger than myself. I have no time to quarrel,no time for regrets and no man can force me to stoop low enough to hate him. Lawrence James

What is the National language of south africa? All the 12 languages are national languages but the official are two English and Afrikaans.

Does that mean they are all tribalists? What we need to do is to learn abit of kiuk abit of kikao a bit of kilujee a bit of somali etc.

@Pierce,

It's a cheap epithet borrowed from Dholuo language.Meant to hurt a reader who commands the language.What is clear in my mind is that the scam who posted it is not a brother or sister from the lake......Must be some idiot who wants SKerians to believe there is so much beef between Kyuks and Luos...and hardly is the writer a new fellow here.Just a non-smart folk using a different logging name.Do you need to guess?.....

Mukiha,have you ever pictured what would happen in The People's Republic of China with 1.3 billion people and possibly over four thousand tribes,If they operated like you guy are suggesting and did not have a unifying language in that country,it would choatic to manage anything my brother.

Even in America,France,England there exists tribes but they managed to be unified under a common goal of being a nation of one language,the rest of the stuff can be found in various museums spread accross those countries.

Therefore,there is nothing wrong with maintaining ones culture if such culture is in tendem with well being of the citizens and that is the reason why i suggested the national Museum. However,if maintaining such culture causes pain to the citizenary then outlawing such a practice out weighs maitaining it. Thus culture is meant to make people rejoice not to cause others pain to others.

And i repeat,there is no such thing as Kikuyu hater,the word is tribalism and such word is not only limited to Kikuyus. Tribalist is just as sick as racist,mad man,rapist and any other such person that would want to inflict pain on others.

Here's one reason to write in vernacular... If you can't spell in English... Its 'desist' not 'decist'....

DESIST - to discontinue,refrain from...... DECIST - a member of one of the myriad con games running in an East African country.
