What functionality will be lost? There may aftermarket head units which even perform better than the original ones. Depends on what functionality you would like. Most vehicles have Navigation, reverse camera etc, even if you fried the unit if you got a replacement, ensure its compatible i.e. has GPS input and feed from camera terminals. Ensure its same size i.e. 7" or 6.2" depending on what fits. If you want added functionality you could go for one that has bluetooth etc. The problem is I do not know where they are sold but there are plenty online that you could import as a last resort. Check ebay and other online markets.
