Not really. Thiago has already agreed on personal terms with United, now Barca are to meet his dad to convince the player to remain at Barca.

The biggest threat in securing Thiago will come from Bayern Munich, there have been reports suggesting he's keen to link up with Pep. If Man Utd want to sign him then it needs to be done soon because other top clubs (Chelsea, Real & Milan) are now starting to show interest so it might come down to who can pay him more. Btw if he fails to move by end of July his buy-out will return to £77m.

This move probably makes sense to Barca & Thiago.....with Pep as Bayern coach he'll probably get a good deal and play time given that his agent is Pere Guardiola (Pep's)brother. Barca on the other hand will most definitely get a more favourable buy-back clause. I don't think Man Utd would be willing to let Thiago go back to Barca later on if he becomes their star player.

This is exactly what I've been talking about in the past. My dear Manchester United has stopped being a preferred destination for top European players because of our recent performances. If Moyes does not do well in Europe, tutazidi kua jogoo wa mjini.

I still hope we get Baines and a rough midfielder though, hehe. Kagawa and Cleverley are still there to do something in midfield

Btw huyu Nyamweya (FKF) is just a clown how do start congratulating Wanyama hata before the move is confirmed by the two clubs. Anyway, if all goes well its being reporterd that the move should be confirmed today.

Thiago to Bayern? He's better off remaining at Barca. What were his reasons for wanting to leave? Playing time? Will he get that in a team whose midfield reads Mario Gotze and Toni Kroos, not forgetting Schweinsteiger, Martinez, Gustavo, Robben and Ribery?

http://www.goal.com/en-g...i-want-thiago-at-bayern

"I asked Sammer and Rummenigge for the player....Thiago is the only player I want, that's what I told them, It'll be him or no one. Because he is from Barcelona. I know him, he is really good. He has been with me at Barcelona B. We have many players but we the need the special [quality] that Thiago Alcantara brings. "I don't think [adding another midfielder] will be a problem. I spoke to club about my concept and told them why I want Thiago Alcantara. Nobody will leave Barcelona, unless they feel they won't play much. He wants to play. That's why I proposed him to the club....The club will decide. I told them my opinion."

McDoba that would have been the case if Thiago was to choose say City/Chelsea or PSG/Monaco over us. Of course he looks like he wants to play football and Man Utd is the better option in that case. Bayern do not have extremely high wages except for a few players like Ribery and the like. But it is clear that Utd has fallen down the pecking order in terms of an attractive destination for Top European players. Look at the link I posted earlier from ESPN soccernet and look at all the players we've been close to signing who turned us down. Real Madrid remains every players wet dream but nowadays it seems like players who have a choice btn Utd and another top team choose the other top team. That's the reality boss. Whatever the reasons (e.g. reuniting with Pep), hapo tunalemewa. Supposing we could pay the same money as Chelsea for Cavani, for example. Which team would he choose? And lets say Rooney was leaving? All hypothetical but that's my feeling. There are people with bigger d**ks than us, and that will hurt us in Europe

Reports suggesting Utd preparing a 35M pound bid for Cesc, though Arsenal have priority of refusal on any bid placed as long as they can match it. I doubt Barca will want to lose Cesc after Thiago move to Bayern. At the same time, why would Cesc want to move back to Arsenal if the move came through?

If Cavani moves to PSG then Ibra will have to move...
