Baby friendly vaccines...

Mblo just comeout clean and tell us what pharma you work for... we all have to earn a daily bread, unfortunately even tho' its peddling 'poison'. My grandma is not 20(could be slightly higher than 22), other than a few missing teeth (ok ok maybe alot of missing teeth), I've heard her threaten to kick my uncle's butt like she used to when he was a kid!

I have a grandfather (who I have been named after) who is 91 years old... still pushing on.. but its modern medicine that is sustaining him - if it were not for meds baridi hizi za july zingemumaliza zamani. ps. I don't work for Pharma - I am an ordinary african who just got tired of being cynical about progress. its like people refusing to drive or use cvt or vvti cars but insisting on being pulled along by donkeys ati kwa sababu - they are suspicious of how a car moves or because of accidents. let's accept the fact that we are now much better than any generation before us. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

You have a way with words. But this is no laughing matter, needs some serious thinking especially when it concerns your flesh and blood..

it's true - who knows what would have happened to me if there were no vaccines? many of us would not have been here! a vaccine is better than its alternative - the disease itself. so when making that decision - ask yourself... what is the risk?? prevent so that you don't need to bear the heartache during treatment. think about it - smallpox, polio, diphtheria and other diseases that 40 years ago we killing people have been 'sorted' out to a large extent. hiyo flu watu wanachukulia kimchezo iliua watu kama 100 million in 1918 hardly a century ago. Vaccination is completely important. Kwanza my greatest fear is menengitis. waaarrr i fear that disease to hell!!!!
Nevertheless, I really do not understand these baby friendly stuff. By the way the side effects of the vaccines are not that bad and they last a few hours plus not all vaccines have side effects. In fact, the only one that has side effects ni ile 3 dose pentavalent vaccine. Plus it varies from child to child.
I heard very many stories about this thing and how a child will cry from morning to morning. When my daughter got it, she experienced the normal fever. The nurses had advised me to buy Calpol just in case of the fever. But I never gave it her because in all three occasions she got very hot but still slept soundly. So what i did was to uncover her so that her body can cool down on its own. everything was fine the next day. Halafu i used warm water and a piece of cloth to soothe the point where she was injected.
So for me, these baby friendly vaccines are utterly pointless unless they will add vigor in preventing the disease. But that's just me.

I still prefer the normal and widely/longer used vaccines. If it aint broke, dont fix it!!!
