Kidero is a little quiet nowadays... not too many media announcements as compared to Mutua, who from the media proclamations is the governor to watch.
I think its the other way round: Kidero is the duck paddling furiously below the water's surface while the media savvy Mutua knows how to set-up and sell the image. I am aware that Kidero's work ethic has not changed, his approach is diplomatic, consultative and decisive with drama if things dont flow as planned.
Good thing I live in Syokimau (after the signpost for now you are entering...) and work kwa Kidero

Kidero has the toughest governors job you know...
a duty which is almost a calling, to deliver
an electorate highly ethnic polarised yet informed that has to be appeased.
cartels that can decapitate poor man.
political balance where he does not put himself as a threat to either supremos..
Last but not least.. natural tendency for any african leader.. urge to 'steal'

The forces workin on the dude are numerous

How true, especially the Nairobians being Informed and therefore hard to be appease. Reason I believe No Nairobi Governor, Starting with Kidero will be re-elected in subsequent elections - however good they have done.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

You have summed it all up...Nairobi city council as it was...was messed up,cartels ran the show and revenue collection was below par he needs to clean up that first hence the interdictions we heard about,if he gets it right reduces the corrupt tendencies to a minimal the revenue collected will go a long way into sorting out various issues at hand...
Lets see what he does with his budget but he should be given a much greater timeline for sorting out stuff as compared to any governor...rem when the workers striked recently a section of them were singing..."Tunataka YT2"
Alfie has made us build castles in the sky...he has made us believe we can turn around an area mostly semi arid area in Kenya into a modern city with everythn working appropriate ammenities, where companies like BMW would want to have an auto plant etc...he is our Bugsy Siegel who single handendly built Las Vegas which now prides itself as the entertainment capital of the world...he has the money from foreign investors the ball is squarely on his court lets see what he will do with it...he is more likely to suceed rather than fail.

But then again heroes and legends prevail against great odds. Kidero has a lot to surmount but he also has a lot going for him: experience in management/leadership, some faith, a good brain and ambition. As does Mutua. Lets ee if they make a lemonade out of the lemons
