I am disgusted by the amount of land stolen & grabbed by the political elite during the kenyatta era. The main beneficiaries seem to the GEMA elite primarily coz the White Highlands famrs were the main target of the allotees.

The Nation has done a great job & I encourage every SKerian to grab the newspaper while they run this series.

The shameless thieves run the gamut starting with kenyatta who 'bought' the land using funds allocated by the World Bank & British Government.

We were told the British Government stopped giving loans/money to buy the White Settler farms (mainly in Central - White Highlands) BUT the reason was that the farms were then sub-divided & 100 acre plots given to kenyatta & his crooks instead of the peasant farmers (as stipulated in the agreement).

Allotees include kenyatta (kamau wa ngengi),jackson angaine,kibaki,GG kariuki...

An interesting note: john michuki thought it was wrong that many of the plots were being sold to politically connected through 'private sales' & not advertised!

It is mind boggling how much land was stolen by jomo kenyatta & his band of thieves. I have been reading the Daily Nation expose about the 'land allocations' and it is so scary that a small group had so much power to steal!

Difficult task but where the records are clear that there was favoritism e.g. the records that Nation has... then re-possess the land... kenyatta family still 'own' HUGE chunks in Taita-Taveta & at the Coast

Wat is worst is th fact th th first to b displaced were kiuks not even GEMA by their own supposed leaders...nw their you go with the root of the mungiki menace not to mention the antics of Moi and his its our turn to eat cronies.
this is what was being fought for in 07 and 08...the power to steal and to do all that appartains to the people of this country and its resources.
it is despicable...wat really wud stop the people from disposing this political thieves this officially grabbed land...this is a very serious issue!!
