To all

i have learnt alot about cars from Sasha's thread. my sprinter 110 automatic gear box has problems. it drags in changing gears,make a funny 'knock' noise when changing gears among others

my Mech says we need to purchase a second hand gear box but its quality is not guaranteed as none can ascertain its age or use when its was originally in use. the other choice is to identify a good mech who can repair the existing one. i'm being discouraged to repair yet the second hand ones are ' cases of good luck'.

To SK Expert. what should be the best decision? any good mechanic to repair. or a credible shop where i can source a fairly good second hand gear box? your advice please

Any mechanic in the house? There are a number of people who may be having same problems with their 'motis'. Its actually an opportunity!!

we managed to fix an auto gear box...

for a Range Rover...

the thing had gears up to the exhaust.....
