There is a large piece of land about 80 kilometres from Rongai on Magadi Road.It is said that it lies on the spot where the proposed bypass to Suswa will pass.An acre goes for sh 80,000.Who has information about this area and on the upcoming bypass?Thank you

ahoo,
I have not been there personally.Got the info when the church I attend asked members to register to buy the land. The Church already acquired some for a future development.Just wanted to know more before I commit myself

Land purchase can be quite addictive ,maybe its the thrill of sleeping and knowing You have a piece of property somewhere that excites. My advice is just conduct due diligence before purchase.

@Mesfraja, 80kms from Rongai is approx Magadi town. By pass to Suswa is most likely to be half that distance. In magadi an acre should be less the quoted amount - aprrox 40k

80k for an acre that is 80km from Kiserian is definately on the higher side.
There is a guy an acre for 90k at Tinga which is 40km from Kiserian. Is this a deal? In these kind of deals who pays the legal fees and surveyors fees?
The greater southern bypass passes much nearer to KIserian, probably 25km from Kiserian since it has to go via saikeri, ewaso kedong then on to Suswa..

Mosby - How is the vegetation and climate of Tinga? Hot and dry like Kisames area or Rongai type.

@mosby, how far is the land from Tinga Center. I understand the interest in that area is increasing due to the low prices and a Jimna Mbarus relative (not sure bro or nephew) owns a huge chunk of land there. But i guess the vegetation and climate would be similar to Kisamis. Any more info is welcome.

true esp in this area the land registrar was interdicted a while back coz of issuing multie titles and so many malpractices be very careful...the other issue with Tinga is that guys are selling huge blocks 20-50-100 acres so the price per acre might seem small but the seller would want you to purchase a sizeable chunk, very difficult guys to deal esp with a legal contract some would request half of the amount first while you continue doing the transfer etc
