Instability defined ..
This has clearly been thought out really well. It almost feels staged for international media. The picture is that the military is not acting alone but in coordination with various authorities, including religious groups, and even various generational groups. As sugar coated as this step might look, this does not change from the essence that this was not done by legal means. A president that was elected democratically, no matter what one thinks of him, has been removed by armed forces, and this is called a coup d'etat.

If the Muslim Brotherhood resorts to violence like they did in 1970s, if they are pushed out of the political arena, they will be delegitimised once again and will have to go underground, which will be a terribly instability for Egypt.

I don't think you really get it, Egyptians errupted because of the steps that the elected leader took after been elected. Mursi forgot how he got in and decided to ignore the aspiration of Egyptians who went to streets to remove Mubarak.

We also know that our kind of democary has no clear way of unseating incumbents, infact in our kind of democracy incumbents just serve their full maximum term, and their preferred man can pick up from where they left, elections are just a way to fool the people. By the way did you heard the Mugabe is democratically elected? So until there is a clear way of unseating incumbents, People will just have to do what Egyptians did.

Until people like you understand why Egyptians are celebrating, Kenya and Africa cannot change.

@Rollout, Egyptians are celebrating? Are you sure? Then why do we have rival rallies? I would say Egypt is split in the middle along pro/anti Morsi lines. I have serious misgivings about the brotherhood because of the way they mistreat my fellow Christians but that doesn't justify chaos and armed forces involvement in political process. If you make rules, live by them. And don't mistake it, the Mugabes of these world have popular support in their countries. It may sound stupid for one to back the geezer but that's democracy for you..

Actually Egypt and Libya were ten times better off under their previous dictators..today I understand that Libya is like the wild wild west with armed gangs(read rebels) roaming around killing all..this insatiable greed for oil/natural resources will be the world's undoing..
