I have been asking myself the same question...

On a serious note, why would his office alone need a budget of a whopping kshs 1.4 billion???

Tamaa mbaya sana but c he rejected the budget and I dont think they managed to get it thru the deadline so it may be taken over by the national govt for a period of 1 yr

Kabogo rejected/did not approve the county budget simply because the county assembly refused to approve the kshs 1.4b for his office...talk of an idiot slapping himself...

kwani these guys will retain the offices after the expiry lf their term...ama kibaki set a precedent

Look at the bigger picture here...Kabogo wants an industrial park constructed on a 500 acre plot to be purchased by "his office"...a couple of years later he will not be interested in being a governor why?

In the current expenditure frenzy, nobody will notice that the title holder of the industrial park will not be Kiambu County, but will be Kabogo's and will be in his name...and the multi billion park will be Kabogo's playing field...

With this, he will be more powerful than the governor himself...Some fellows can see beyond the mountains!!!
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

I saw he planted a few bushes at Githurai, chased the hawkers, and made attempts at getting rid of the open-air market there that had spilt over onto the Highway. The eyesore and smell has reduced a little.

Previously, you could SMELL Githurai all the way from KU or Kasalani alea. Dirty and disorganized place!

Sad
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

You elected a known thug, who has been mentioned severally in horrible cases relating to murder, nacortics, money laundering etc etc, learn to live with it for the next 5yrs. Is that the best Kiambu could get?

There is a Kamba proverb which goes " Indo syakosa ndongoi/muithi inyusaa muuluu"

Loosely translated " When the herd does not have a shepherd, the flock will drink dirty water"

Kiambu could have done better but had limited choices.Serious guys did not want to be in the race with him because of his style of politics.

We live with as we try to guide where we can.

Educate me on this:Now thst he did not sign and the deadline has lapsed, what next? How will Kiambu run?

James Nyoro has a better resume, lakini without the tna tag it was always going to be very hard for him to win - hope guys learn, though I highly doubt it.

But even then, there should be some control on these governors' selfishness. The man was mentioned in many bizarre scandals but we elected him! This politicians six piece thing is a devil!!!!!!!!
