Bill Clinton, George Bush and now Obama have all visited Tanzania during their respective tenures. Nice publicity for TZ they say. But still Kenya and Uganda each receive more tourists than TZ every year.

Why not?? ICC will be long gone by then since all the witnesses will have "voluntarily withdrawn"

I always wonder why they are never able to capitalize on such opportunities...they can even bring Obama a cheetah to adopt and make sure every internet site in US shows that scene...

Kenyan presidents have never been good at meeting international obligations - from mzee not travelling much, to arap moi not being a darling of the west, through to kibaki not giving a damn and now to uhuru being forced by circumstances and consequences.

the language barrier and the laid back attitude is a big disadvantage to our southern brothers - but their soft nature does them no good, they are trampled all over in the name of showing africa good democratic principles and end up getting nothing in return.

The irony is that the power plant obama is going to open is contracted to general electric which has its african headquarters in nairobi same as the international media most will travel either from joburg or nairobi to cover the event. Even china state broadcaster CCTV has its headquarters here and TZ claims china is its strongest ally. Our ndugus should now make it mandatory any company interested in its resources should have a local office...

Naona unajiconsole!! Where did the new Chinese president go when he came to Africa? How many Chinese or Russian presidents have visited Kenya in the last decade? How many tourists do we get from China and Russia? We've been visited by the American number two once and Sitting Secretary of State twice in the last five years. Who holds power over us now?
Man must live!
