3weeks!!! haki Kenya ina Pesa. walimu walipwe.!!

For some of us he can take as many trips as he can so long as they benefit the motherland. Watu waache kuumwa!

so ruto will be left to be fried by tishas, insecurity and other upcoming crisis for 3weeks ! a clever president I must say!!!leave the dirty work to watu wa mkono.

The head of state has his cabinet and deputy president to manage in his absence there is no way you will let such a trip take a back seat every time a securty issue arises

So the problem is that Ruto will be left in charge or?

point is three weeks is too long for a country in so much crisis.in a civilised country, the head of state would actually call off his trip.ours appears to be running away from these problems.

Well we may have to agree to disagree, the "crisis" you're talking about is coincidental with the trips.

I disagree with @ newfarer that the country's issues should stop the president from travelling. They are issues, yes, but they aren't major. The talks with M7 n Kagame are timely. Note Joho is in the delegation. China n Russia are ok but why go to Japan while Ruto was there juzijuzi?
Laughing out loudly smile Applause d'oh! Sad Drool Liar Shame on you Pray

And you ask why we are being called a failed state. Teachers are on strike, insecurity all over then the head of state leaves the country. The buck has to stop somewhere. The others can only talk of "the Government" the president talks of "my government".
Peace be with you

@mcreggae, i saw these figures yesterday and was shocked. Are we really sure we know which side of our bread is buttered? Ama we are heading east the scary trade imbalance notwithstanding?

Where is @murchr and @liv to explain to us the thinking inside jubilee govt.

The day I'll hear that there are Kenyans in China remitting to the country so and so dollars, then I'll take njumbiree guys seriously.

So far, too much domo domo from fake African Nationalist movements that have no bearing whatsoever in reality.

So now he's going to China to do what exactly?

Is it to open up new markets for Kenyans goods such us our textiles?
Or is it to borrow money to either pay the West or borrow money to pay for laptops?

Please think before you answer.

Your gov't is either going to beg for money it doesn't have or actually sell a product or service that the buyer wants. Exactly what does China need from Kenya. Oh, I got it, it wants to be given all gov't contracts to build new roads and infrastructure. Wow.

We need China more than it needs us. In that case, we have already started on a huge balance of trade deficit even before we get started.

Economics is political but woe unto those that want political expediency to direct economics.

f*** the laptops, pay the teachers, remove VAT on basic items, return capital gains tax, reduce recurrent expenditure and make the lands office corrupt free.

That is the only way to stop this need to beg from foreigners, White, Chinese, Black or otherwise. But I'll be like Inspector Seroney, waiting for Jesus before that happens.
Jose: If I make it through this thug life, I'll see you one day. The Lord is the only way to stop the hurt.
