Just like his Kisumu counterpart, the Governor, Cyprian Awiti has proposed the purchase of 10 Toyota Prados at a cost of Sh70 million.

Next county..smileLaughing out loudly
we have clowns for leaders I must admmit.

Where did this !@#$%^ idiots go to school? You can't zero in on one supplier (Toyota Prado my foot) at the budgeting stage!! Make an allocation then competitive tendering and the best !@#$% luxury 4X4 wins.
scrap metal! Shame on you Shame on you

Very true. Procurement regulations state that you can't ask for a particular brand. You are supposed to state the characteristics of the vehicle you want e.g 4x4, 4000cc, 7 seater etc etc, then all the qualified companies (eg toyota, mitsubishi, grandtiger, mahindra, land rover etc) submit their bids and you choose the lowest.

I understand they each initially wanted a Range Rover Sport HSE but they downgraded to prado to prevent a public outcry!

Homabay si Kenya. If they knew how the govenor of Machakos is going about it, they would stop in their pants
Lord, thank you!
