one can never get the popularity of a station in this analogue age, its not like newspapers where sale figures can be quoted to show the popularity of a particular brand - with tv it's all to do with how well the rating agencies are paid to cook figures in one's favor.
That said all the channels show the same kind of stuff, even the news cover the same stories, the only big difference I see is in the quality of the picture, hapo I think citizen leads

if the reviews are anything to go by, Granton Samboja's experiment has failed. While he is a very focussed guy, he will have himself to blame if this fails for not factoring in customer views. If the viewers are not impressed, give them what they want. Which is why you find those irritating soaps in most channels. That's a key segment that must be captured. Has anyone tried watching Sirkal ya Bibi? Boring show

A harmonized wage bill to be introduced at K24 and the anchors who were poached mostly from Citizen TV and were almost on a monthly salary of a million shillings to take home almost half their salaries under a take it or leave it condition......blame it on the clueless Granton Samboja!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

@ Mc Reggae.......Si kwa ubaya but do you have a link on the Synnovate poll or atleast something we can look at to understand why K24 has such low ratings. I honestly do not believe that Kenyans would intentionally select KBC & QTV (which really have nothing to offer) over K24. The National broadcaster and Citizen have the widest reach in terms of coverage, SKM was able to use his political network to easily acquire frequencies some of which are being targeted by CCK. Perhaps pia K24 will go the same way but sioni UK akiwapatia any favours.

Note the Advertisers opt for certain stations after thorough study n consultation Age is transforming me into an Elder;becoz Admin hasn't made me one.

This 'scientific surveys' are hogwash. People watch programmes on TV not channels. They should just breakdown their 'scientific surveys' into time and days. I suspect this 'survey' might be valid only for 7pm to 8pm sunday to wednesday. or is this an extension of the hitler's propaganda strategy? 'tell a lie a million times and it will finaly be accepted as the truth' Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you.” ― Rashi

or is this an extension of the hitler's propaganda strategy? 'tell a lie a million times and it will finaly be accepted as the truth' agreed, plus its hard to get decent figures in this analogue tv age - there must be a reason they do not break down the statistics into details. I wonder if the satellite and digital signal providers can tell the number of viewers at any given moment
