This might turn out to be Neymar's tournament, the boy is destined for football greatness.

I'm team Mexico (Chicharito) but just had to appreciate the thunderbolt goal he scored within 10mins of the game, boy had another early goal against Japan in their 1st match.

That assist was orgasmic!

If Neymar performs like this consistently in Barca then in the big stage that will be the world cup then he'll be destined for greatness. Consistency!

From the highlights, the Italy-Japan game must have been very entertaining, ni kama playstation and ended 4:3 in favour of thr Azzuri!!!!!

.....Jo, of Brazil, twice he has come from the bench and scored, he is also having a great tournament albeit from the bench!!!!

Carrying the national team and winning the World Cup are two different things....Messi scorers and/or provide assists in all matches he's played for Argentina, which is really impressive. He recently surpassed Maradona on the all time top scorers list. What he hasn't done is win trophies with his national team. Neymar has the advantage of having to play the Conf. Cup and World Cup at home which means he could very easily win both trophies.....he'll probably also win some more trophies at Barca.

I knew you would come to Messi's defense, I have watched both Messi play for Argentina so many times and thus far for me Neymar stands out in Brazil coolours more than how Messi stands out for Argentina, time will tell!!!!

Well Neymar is younger than Messi and has alot of potential, i just don't think at this point you can say he's better than the Argentine because he's less experienced. I think this is probably Neymar's best performance for the National team, didn't quite go as planned at the 2012 Olympics. Anyway i'm a big fan of him and can only hope he'll get better and probably be a bit more strong physically....he's a bit light-weight.

Hope he flourishes at Barca...if they let him be and enjoy his football, but if he has to play 2nd fiddle to Messi....SMH!!!

But what a goal against Mexico!!! He looks like a master of volleys...i remember he attempted 3 jana...impressive!! Reminded me of Zinedine Zidane against Bayern Leverkusen....

Agreed absolutely, what I'm trying to point out is that seems to be flourishing where Messi has not been strong!!!!

At Barca, I'm still not certain how it will span out as Messi is still the king of there!!!!!
