I have a 12 yr old boy in a boarding school. When he came back from school,he was just starring at me without talking. What was he thinking. Some one who has done psychology.

i doubt it has anything to do with location. Kids will be bullied in whichever school they join no matter the location. if he wont open up to you,then get someone he can open up to like his friends,relatives he is close to,or just call the school and find out if there was something peculiar when he was at school - usually some teachers will know the kind of friends he has in school. Ama its teenage hormones knocking? But its always good to be sure that its not anything that will affect him in future... teenage hormones,that we can deal with...

Ngai,such stories freak me out of my skin!

Try to find out anything that has been happenning in that school out of the ordinary....remember some of these schools these days even breed pluggists brother!!!!!

Get him to open up. Bullying is very common in high school. Especially the kids who are quiet or smaller or book smart coz they get picked on.

He was thinking what type of a monster you are....how could you take your boy to boarding school,do you mean those depraved teachers are better parents than you?.That kid needs love and you aint giving him.I am telling you will destroy your sons life,get him out of boarding school immediately and spend more time with him.I went to boarding school a young sweet innocent little boy and I came out of there depraved boy who despised all authority a problem I have to date.Do not institutionalize your boy let him be free,he has right to be happy.

@Sheep,

You are very right......My son once pleaded to go to a boarding school due to it's fame......I was against it but for his mom's insistence.It never lasted a term........Luckily for the young man,we are close and he is also very witty.The tale would be told in form of jokes and amid laughter.Years later,i know i was very wrong.Before secondary school,the child belongs to your house unless you don't care how he/she comes up..........and it's true.Most kids who attend boarding school at an early age are either detached from the rest of the world or are just outright indifferent.

next time it happens try to also be silent too. you will be using the silent to communicate and you might posibly get one hint or two. Like if he's frightened,whether bored or even feelings of loosing hope by the way he acts indicating whether he's disconnected with life or uneasy or any other some other body language.
