Am unable to comprehend this:-

1. You have a garden and your neighbor says you can’t uproot the trees because they create oxygen for his animals/plants.

2. Egypt has the Ocean to itself, why not do same as Libya for example which has no Nile.

3. In monetary terms is Egypt willing to pay for full use or let’s say opportunity cost for countries upstream not using the water...

I think the guys up there think we are in colonial times….

For the first time I support M7
times.

For no. 2 above they dont have oil money to run the machines to filter the sea water enmasse!!!

umeongea kama wanaume 50! what is in it for the riparian states? goodwill? its rather unfair to continue stating that you have the right to 90% of the water yet you are downstream.

60% of the water of the nile comes from Lake Tana in Ethiopia via the blue nile! the white nile (the one that chucks from Lake Sango) only contributes 40%.

M7 supported......The Egyptians and their arrogance must be told off......anywho,i do not think the Egyptians mean anything.They do not have the muscles and capacity to take on the "Riparians".

The raparian states should act in the same manner the Egyptians did when they fought over the Suez Canal rights. They should go to the colonialists who bestowed on them the 90% rights and demand compensation. like the Mau Mau precedent.
